I had to start a game of halflife on my other machine (windows) and then save the game immediatly at the start of halflife. I copied the save game to my linux machine, started halflife with `wine hl.exe -- -toconsole` then typed /load Half-Life-001 and it started my savegame from the halflife intro and played fine from that. You are supposed to be able to type /new from the console to start a new game, but that doesnt work for me. Maybe there is some perameters for it, but I don't know them. If you want crazney, I could save a game from the start of easy medium and difficult settings and send them to you to put on the page if you don't have a windows install. cheers
