A||||4||bucky0||Any suggestions? Z||000000||bucky0||02-07-2001||09:50 AM||bucky0@aol.com||Hey.. I was trying to get HL/CS to work under
linux(mandrake 7.2 w/ 2.4.1 kernel). I read
and folowed the HOWTO's. I installed the
latest stable version of wine, installed
drivers for my Geforce2MX card, removed what
I could find of mesa. But, when I run 'wine -- /mnt/win_c/sierra/Half-Life/hl.exe -game cstrike -console', I can see the menu, but when I try to goto the console(with HL configured as opengl) it brings the loading screen up and it hangs. I went to another console and typed ps -aux and the wine sessions are taking up 80-90% of the clock cycles, so I"m thinking I did something wrong....Anyone have suggestions? Add this to your XFree86Config..
Option "NVAGP" "0"
in the "nvidia" section, you upgraded to the .9-6 drivers right? I posted a tweak to make em better in another section.
