I don't even know if the game plays... but it sure as heck loads... alot of help would be much appreciated... I'm new to linux but i used to play CS on windows and i've been working on getting this running for 72 hours straight already... i'm going to take a nap... Z||000001||brewt||01-22-2001||05:57 PM||brewt-lhl.linuxgames.com@brewt.org||read the howto (all of it)... it's a known problem the menu's don't work properly. connect to servers via command line, or use xqf Z||000002||Gendred||01-22-2001||08:16 PM||genjala@hotmail.com||Ok, I downloaded XQF and compiled it and it still doesn't run, tried to download and run the RPM version of it and it says

xqf-0.9.5-1 requires qstat >= 2.4a
xqf-0.9.5-1 requires wget

downloaded qstat... it works... downloaded wget... it works... RPM still doesn't like me. any idea?

well just to test you can find a server and connect to it. ie:
wine hl.exe -- hl.exe -console -game cstrike +connect Z||000004||brewt||01-22-2001||10:43 PM||brewt-lhl.linuxgames.com@brewt.org||ok it took out my triangle brackets...

Z||000006||Gendred||01-24-2001||01:48 PM||genjala@hotmail.com||Yeah... i'm a moron... i saw a howto... and yes i actually read all of it... I installed linux... and i tried to get half-life to work... it didn't work... i asked for help... and i got my friggin head yelled off by you people... this is why I'm good at windows, at least the people don't accuse you of being a moron when you ask for help. I'll see you all in CS, when i get it running... Z||000007||Zeitgeist||01-24-2001||05:53 PM||zeitgeist@animenet.org||well it does tell you how to just get wget off your linux cd..

download the tar's of qstat install it and put it in your path, then install XQF ( i have em both in /usr/bin/ ). Z||000008||Gendred||01-25-2001||11:10 AM||genjala@hotmail.com||are we talking about the same Howto??? i'm talking about Hammerton's, is that the one your talking about??? Z||000009||Zeitgeist||01-25-2001||05:24 PM||zeitgeist@animenet.org||im talking about the one on this page Z||000010||crac||01-27-2001||08:38 AM||crac_dude@yahoo.com||gernad is right, there are two howtos... before being so arrogant - i would suggest you - think a little bit more. Z||000011||crazney||01-27-2001||03:51 PM||dhammerton@labyrinth.net.au||one howto is very old, and is only there as a second recourse - no point reading it really, as everything covered in tehre is also covered in mine. Z||000012||Zeitgeist||01-27-2001||04:23 PM||zeitgeist@animenet.org||crac its covered in basicly in both, besides it says right in there how too on the first how-to
